Is better than I expected so far. I wasn’t optimistic becuase it’s Bendis doing an SF story, but the gritty post-apocalyptic tone suits him pretty well. It’s not a “cosmic” story. I mean, it’s not anything that hasn’t been done before a million times, but the dialogue is decent, the plot doesn’t have any huge holes… My standards for Marvel event books are pretty low. Mainly though it’s an excuse for Bryan Hitch to draw ruined cityscapes and I’m OK with that.
I’m mostly looking forward to the Avengers Assemble crossover issue though.
