This is an adorable pic. But I’m going to nitpick anyway because part of my soul is still missing after that thing with Darkseid. I think it’d make more sense to have Usagi as Supergirl (she has a lot of similar ideals, but she’s too insecure at first to be Wonder Woman—her arc is pretty similar to Supergirl’s), Mina as Wonder Woman or maybe Star Sapphire (The Power of Love!), Ami as Batgirl (she’s more intellectual, she’s make a good Oracle), and Makoto as Power Girl. (forceful, good-hearted, and, uh, exceptionally talented.) Rei’s a bit harder to pin down. When I pointed this out to Andrew, he suggested Miss Martian, which would be so completely wrong as to be right. But in terms of her religious dimension, the Spectre makes a lot of sense. It’s also kind of a scary prospect. I would draw that if I could, you know, draw at all.

lol wow how about it being one of the most offensive things to make her randomly come out of her wheelchair after years of being in one and known for being a hero as such.

and stepping back from being a woman and being a “girl” in Bruce’s name.

and maybe fans are mad because they completely shafted that character.

All of this.

I’m partly upset about Babs being Batgirl again because I love Cass and Steph and I hate to see them disregarded, true.

But I’m ALSO upset - I’m probably even MAINLY upset - because I LOVE BABS. And this decision was NOT what was best for Barbara’s character. It moved her backward, not forward. It undid DECADES worth of character-growth. This reboot hurt Babs just as much as it hurt Cass and Steph. If you’re still confused on why, let me refer you to this post.

But, by the way? Even if all the outcry WAS from Steph fans? THAT WOULD STILL BE 100% LEGITIMATE. Because Stephanie is an AMAZING character, and she was not only a wonderful Batgirl, but also a HUGE inspiration for the way she came so far and kept on surviving. To have that taken away from her? Yeah, I’d say that’s MORE than enough reason to get upset, all on its own.
