Marvel’s latest “Next Big Thing” conference call with the comic book press is all about the new Journey Into Mystery creative team, and based on the art released to reporters, it looks like writer Kathryn Immonen and artist Valerio Schiti.
Additionally, the cover clearly suggests a shift of focus in the series from Kid Loki — the star of writer Kieron Gillen’s run on the title, which ends in October — to another Asgardian, Sif.
The conference is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. eastern time and Newsarama will be on the line, keep refreshing this page for live updates from the call.
Marvel, why do you have to keep putting out all these cool-sounding books? I’m trying not to get sucked back in here.

Sif by Valerio Schiti
“I like that she looks like a fighter. A female fighter who’s limited body fat means limited boobs. And even though the reference material show’s her being rather busty, the new designs are not.” - submitted by Kevin FeelyLove this! And this gives me even bigger excitement for this book - Schiti’s design is fantastic!

Someone grabbed the last copy of Journey into Mystery just before i could. Which, one the one hand, I wanted to read that, but on the other hand, people are buying it. Yay Sif!

CA&Bucky #620 is frankly a better start place than Winter Soldier #1. There are two possible JiM intropoints both good!! And yeah whoops for Chaos War and not iHerc.
Yep! Journey into Mystery starring Sif is a Marvel Now launch title, so they really should have had the first issue of that and then the previous JiM series off, like with the other titles. You’d think that actually beginning with the starting point of a story would be more important than having it be #1, but…
