All of this. I’m partly upset about Babs being Batgirl again because I love Cass and Steph and I hate to see them disregarded, true. But I’m ALSO upset - I’m probably even MAINLY upset - because I LOVE BABS. And this decision was NOT what was best for Barbara’s character. It moved her backward, not forward. It undid DECADES worth of character-growth. This reboot hurt Babs just as much as it hurt Cass and Steph. If you’re still confused on why, let me refer you to this post. But, by the way? Even if all the outcry WAS from Steph fans? THAT WOULD STILL BE 100% LEGITIMATE. Because Stephanie is an AMAZING character, and she was not only a wonderful Batgirl, but also a HUGE inspiration for the way she came so far and kept on surviving. To have that taken away from her? Yeah, I’d say that’s MORE than enough reason to get upset, all on its own.
